By booking and renting equipment from Okanagan Baby Rentals (“the Company”), you (“the Renter”) agree to the following terms and conditions:

 

1. Rental Period

• Rentals are charged per day.

• Extensions are available based on availability and are charged to the card on file.

• Items returned late are charged a 50% late fee for the first day, and the full daily rental rate for any additional days.

2. Payment & Security

• A valid credit card is required and is securely stored via Square.
   

• By entering this agreement, the Renter authorizes Okanagan Baby Rentals to charge the card for:
   

  • Rental extensions

  • Late fees

  • Loss or damage charges

  • Delivery fees
     

• An invoice will always be sent before additional charges are processed.

3. Loss, Damage & Cleaning

• If an item is lost or damaged, the Renter may be charged up to 25% of the item’s full retail value.
   

• Equipment must be returned in clean condition. Excessively soiled items may result in additional cleaning charges.
   

4. Delivery & Pickup

• Rentals may be picked up or delivered, pending availability.
   

• Delivery fees are charged according to distance/zone.
   

• If the drop-off space is inaccessible, or the Renter is not present within a 30-minute window, the delivery fee will still apply.
   

• Rescheduled delivery or pickup may be arranged.
   

• Rental charges apply only to actual rental days. If delivery cannot be coordinated and items are not received, no rental charges will be applied.
   

5. Safety & Use

• Sub-renting or lending items is strictly prohibited.
   

• Renter must use equipment only as intended and follow the manufacturer’s safety instructions.
   

• Okanagan Baby Rentals is not liable for injury, accident, or damage arising from the use or misuse of rented items.

6. Cancellations & Early Returns

• Cancellations must be made by the day before the rental start date.
   

• Same-day cancellations are non-refundable.
   

• Early returns do not qualify for a refund.

7. Governing Law & Disputes

• This agreement is governed by the laws of British Columbia and Alberta.
   

• Disputes shall be resolved in Small Claims Court in the Central Okanagan jurisdiction.

8. Acknowledgment & Consent

By booking, the Renter acknowledges and agrees that:

• Their card will be securely stored with Square.
   

• The Company may charge the card for balances owing under this agreement.
   

• They are responsible for safe use of all rented items.
